Katarzyna Adamiak - Jaśnikowska - was born in 1985 in Legnica. She is a graduate student of the Eugeniusz Geppert's Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In 2016, she defended her diploma in painting.
In her paintings, the artist focuses mainly on the human being, recently she has been concentrate on a portrait - she writes about her work: "(...) I hallow a lot of time to extracting character from the face of the portrayed human. Patiently, I put on layers of light, I build a portrait that subtly tries to show what is not seen at the first sight in a given person. At least in my work on the image I have intentions, but is it visible to the recipient?"
The space depicted in the painter's paintings is not a purely realistic convention. We can also find in it a rich metaphorical world, full of atmosphere of mystery and ambiguity. Finalist of painting competitions, many times honored. Works in private collections in Poland and abroad.
