Born in Tokyo,1975.Graduates from the Department of Painting, Musashino Art University.
What I mean by ‘the real’ is not to represent the very surface of the objects as it really is, but to depict a variety of textures found out through compelling relationship between the objects and me. I never fail to have some new discoveries in any scenes familiar to me, which make me realize how many things or matters I have overlooked in my daily life.
It is a time-honored aesthetic value in Japanese Art for the artists to describe the state of their minds to the objects. I have a deep interest in expressing a characteristic sense of beauty of the Japanese people by using European-born art supplies.
